Saloon Showdown

Saloon showdown is a 2-4 player local multiplayer brawling game set in a saloon in the wild west, where players can compete to be the last man standing. 

Saloon Showdown is the perfect addition to any social gathering or party. The fast-paced, easy-to learn gameplay makes it ideal for playing with friends and family, regardless of their gaming experience. 

Ensuring that everyone can jump in and start the game without a steep learning curve.

The game is designed with high replay value in mind. Each session brings new humorous scenarios, and if you lose, you WILL want an immediate rematch.

We aim to foster friendly rivalries while encouraging players to fully engage in the chaos of a saloon brawl.

By offering a variety of strategies to win, we ensure that each player can find their unique path to victory. 

In the game, every element is crafted around a physics based design, providing a playground of possibilities.

So gather your friends for the wild brawl, supporting 2 to 4 players in local multiplayer mayhem.

Controls:

The game is best enjoyed using gamepads.

Gameplay:

Select from a diverse roster of eight characters.

Join and select by pressing Jump.

When everyone has selected you enter the saloon!

The goal is to be the last man standing

In the saloon you can and will be momentarily stunned and take a fall by various attacks.

Blocking can counter this as well as reduce incoming damage, at the cost of limiting movement.

Everything in the saloon, including other players can be used as weapon.

You can grab/pickup everything that isn't nailed down throw them at your rivals.

With good timing and lighting reflexes you can catch objects in the air to throw them right back at your rivals!

If you are holding another player, instead of throwing him around, you can use him as a shield for incoming attacks or if you jump down from the 2nd floor, bodyslam him on whatever is below.

However, you better act quickly because the hold can be reversed by button mashing the attack buttons. If that happens you will be at the mercy of the other player for a few seconds before you can attempt to reverse.

In the midst of the fight, players must keep an eye out for the green whiskey that appears at the bar.

Snatching up one of these bottles will regain your health, and then feel free to smash it at the nearest player! 

Beware though, opponents on the 2nd floor above the bar can throw or drop things on your head.

The 2nd floor is not without risks as well, since you can be tossed or body slammed down from the balcony.

Actions:

Fast attack: Quick, fast, low stun, short range, low damage. Good for spamming or disrupting slower attacks if timed right.

Kick attack: Slower, brief knockdown,  disarms, low damage. Good for knocking an item or person from another players.

Grapple hold: other person is incapable, but if not stunned can button mash to escape the hold, stunning the other player and reversing the hold. Enables throwing of a player.

Throwing: Can throw most things in the game, including people.

Glass in the face: High damage, moderate stun, long range, glasses break after impact so single use.

Table / chair in the face: Even higher damage and longer stun. Shorter range than glasses and slower moving than glasses.

Person in the face: Highest damage and stun, shortest range. More tense to pull off since the victim can reverse the grapple.

It is difficult but not impossible to catch thrown items.
